I had a 2005 ZX10R with “a bit” of work done to it. More than once Iooked down at the speedo maxed out at 299 kph and it was still accelerating. One day I woke and realised I was still alive and that was a good time to sell the bike :(

It was 1984 for the V-Max, and the V-boost system came in at 4000rpm, a warning was given in the manual and in Britain with the early Canadian full power imports, sale rooms insisted on potential owners going on performance courses before buying. And to be clear, tbe H2R puts out 330bhp out of the crate, thats a record breaking 0-400kph in 26 seconds.

I had a '91 VMAX 1200. Cool bike, comfy and pretty quick. Only downside imo was its tiny fuel tank under the seat, and not having a fuel guage. Basically a drag bike for hopping from one gas station to the next.
