I am gatekeeping millennial whimsy until every Zoomer admits voting conservative is wrong, registers to vote, helps at a local food bank, and votes for democrats for 10 years. We did it and things got marginally better. We could maybe make things regular better if we kept doing it.

I think what everyone was calling cringe was millenials on tiktok acting like they're babies and lip syncing to actual babies 24/7 on here. As someone from Gen Z I literally wanted to be what millenials was when I was younger, because that's how I viewed adulthood and it excited me so much. I looked up to so many women who was deeply into the millenial hipster style in those years and I even wanted to dress like it myself so tried to the best I could for a little girl.

Honestly growing up around that optimism definitely influenced how I saw the world. I longed for the days when I could experience the freedom that was being advertised to me as a kid. Now I am actually the age they were when they were ‘setting the world on fire’, and… I think the job’s already been done in terms of the world being on fire.

I’m not sure why Gen Z isn’t acting like we didn’t grow up with millennial trends. I’m 24 and I remember the mustaches and colorful clothes. Not all of the trends but we got to experience some trends as kids that were formed from millennials
