hey bro ... thats not true at all there is no amputation in islam . the word " Cut " in arabic has 2 meanings ... one is amputation and the other is to Stop . god is saying to Stop ppl from stealing by laws we creat like jail time . think about it . ppl today dont have to steal with thier hands also what if someone steals for the 3rd time ? what u gonna amputate ? just think .

Therefore, all civilizations of that era used physical punishments such as amputation, flogging, and others. Now, these penal punishments have been replaced with financial compensation or imprisonment for a specific period. For example, in Saudi Arabia, the sentence is six years in prison, along with paying a fine to the state and repaying the value of the stolen goods.
