I really wanted the opening of the film to really lean on the memories and feelings connected to the song that the bride walked down the aisle to, and all the emotions and excitement that the couple was feeling in that moment. The lyrics of "This is the place that feels like home" extend beyond just the couple themselves, but also in the midst of everybody cheering for them and being celebrated by their friends and family. "This is the place that feels like home' becomes bigger in that moment! Tonal sound effects allowed me to incorporate the song, trigger all the memories and emotions that are connected to that song for the couple, while also having control over the energy, pacing, and structure of what was actually being heard in the video! This process is simpler than it might seem, and I will one day make a video breaking down this process in more depth. For now, I hope that this video inspires you to get even more creative with tonal sound effects.
