@shannakuxhausenmcguire: Same cozy me…just a little closer to Christmas. ❤️ This image feels like the quieter side of the holiday season—the part I sometimes forget about while I’m busy planning ALL THE THINGS. Good books. Bright lights. Cozy blankets. Favorite people. Christmas movies. Festive baking. Winter adventures. Traveling somewhere beautiful. Taking way too many pictures. And those nights when you can curl up under a blanket with nowhere you absolutely HAVE to be. Honestly, can we skip ahead to that part? 😂 Because most days my life feels like one giant game of calendar Tetris. Work, school, baseball, dance, appointments, errands, practices, pickups, drop-offs…and then somehow I decide Christmas needs to be squeezed into every remaining available minute. Decorate the house. Watch all the Christmas movies. Listen to Christmas music. Plan festive adventures. Bake the things. Travel. Make memories. Basically, September Me has created an absolutely DELUSIONAL Christmas itinerary for December Me. 😂 But looking at this image reminds me that maybe Christmas doesn’t have to be about checking everything off the list. Maybe some of the best holiday memories are the ones where we do absolutely nothing impressive. A fire going. Christmas lights glowing. Something warm to drink. A movie we’ve already watched 47 times. Everyone piled onto the couch. Pets sleeping nearby. Phones down. Schedules temporarily ignored. And nowhere else we need to be. THAT sounds pretty magical to me. ❤️ And this year, I want more of that. More twinkle lights. More cozy nights. More adventures. More pictures. More favorite people. More of what I love. I want to travel somewhere new and see the magic. I want to photograph the moments I know I’ll want back someday. I want ridiculous Christmas adventures AND nights when we don’t leave the house. I want to make memories without feeling like every memory has to be perfectly planned. And somewhere in all of it, I want to remember to be proud of how far I’ve come. Because we’re always looking toward the next thing. The next trip. The next season. The next milestone. The next Christmas. Sometimes we forget to look around and realize we’re already living inside moments we once looked forward to. So yes, I’m excited that we’re officially down to 108 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. 🎄 But I’m also reminding myself not to wish these 108 days away. There’s still a lot of life to live between here and Christmas morning. More places to explore. More magic to see. More memories to create. And hopefully a whole lot of cozy nights in between. Same girl. Bigger Christmas plans. But maybe this year…a little more time to actually enjoy them. ❤️ Now tell me: What does your PERFECT cozy Christmas night look like? Are you choosing a Christmas movie, good book, gaming, baking, hot cocoa, fireplace, or going out to see the lights?
