Heโs absolutely right about different sneakers for different things. Iโm not using my new/good sneakers for yard work or things that might ruin them, but multiple pairs at โevery levelโ was where he lost me.

I own about 15 pair of Converse In different styles and colors. My oldest pair is about 20-22 years old. Theyโve started to look ratty now, so I donโt wear them often. But they still wouldnโt be worn for painting or gardening. I have a pair of Nikes for that.

i get having a couple different sneakers for different things, iโm not doing yardwork in my brand new shoes, but multiple for each level is excessive. maybe two for the bottom level of yardwork and stuff if they just havenโt been destroyed yet but have 5+ pairs of just sneakers is insane

I own 3 pairs of proper running shoes, and 5 pairs of casual "sneakers". My running shoes are for exercise, dog walking, big walking days (theme parks, travel etc.). The "sneakers" are more for work, going to casual dinners, coffe with friends (think Keds). I also have over 100 pairs of heels ๐
