@charlotterowleyhair: If the placement is right, the raw lift does the talking. This client didn’t need more blonde… she needed the blonde she already had to stand out again. She’d become over-highlighted, the depth had disappeared and everything had started to feel a little flat. So instead of automatically reaching for more lightener, I focused on putting the depth back in the right places, keeping that brightness around the face and using my placement to create the blend. And THIS is why I’m always banging on about placement 😂 I don’t want to rely on a root melt at the basin to make my colour look blended. I want the blend, dimension and brightness to already be there when those foils come out. Less lightener. More intention. Better blonde. Sometimes the biggest transformation comes from knowing what not to lighten. Save this one for the next time you’re looking at an over-highlighted blonde and wondering where to start 🤍
