@shasha_panda8: I'm against to no awarding every term cuz, as a academic achiever sobrang pinag hihirapan natin yung mga gawain natin para lng magkaron tayo ng magandang grades and award plus, motivation yun satin para mas galingan pa natin sa pag-aaral tas biglang tatanggalin para maiwasan daw ang competition or gulo ng magkaka-klase about sa mga achievement para may equality daw, gets nmn yung point ni depEd pero nawawala kasi yung motivation ng student mostly tlg sa students like me is motivation na natin yung mga award natin kaya parang pag-nawala yun nakaka walang gana nadin mag aral cuz kahit mag efforts nmn pala tayo sa study natin wala din pala tayong matatanggap na certificate, pero wala tayong magagawa deped order yun eh#fyppoppppppppppppppppppppppp #depedorder #4u

I just feel that these kids just want attention and get their confidence by letting people praise them that they are better than them. just my opinion.

"academic achievers to normal students" the way you say it makes it sound like academic achievers are much more different and superior than those without honor titles. at the end of the day people will remember you for your character, not your academic title

I'm against everything on DepEd, as someone who usually finds solace in getting an award every after Quarter now term, It makes me feel seen and appreciated for the efforts and sleepless nights I've spent. DepEd completely removing it has made me lose more motivation, not to mention my mental health which was getting worse. Yet DepEd just does nothing? I've seen countless posts on Facebook saying they also lost their motivation and DepEd still won't change it. We are just humans, with problems and emotions. Removing something that students find as their comfort or reward after studying hard the whole term is so fucking stupid.

Imagine doing your best to get a 98 average, and someone else has 92 average. Wdym we're getting the same rewards as them when we tried SO hard to get a 98?

Im against no awarding every term. As a student myself that works hard for an award, i believe that removing the awarding every term can discourage students from studying harder. Kase wala na ung goal nila eh, un ung motivation nila to keep going and trying their best— Tas tatanggalin niyo lang? And for what reason, para 'ma remove ung academic pressure tas unnecessary competition' ??What about ung mga students na actually na nag wo work hard tas wala manlang parangal. #FIXITDEPED.

nandyan nanaman mga pa superior na kolehiyo. huwag niyong iinvalidate yang mga high school just because you're experiencing the reality of adulting. dadating din sila dyan and nasa kanila na yan how they'll handle the same phase of life, hindi nila kailangan ng discouragement niyo. if they feel like that right now let them be, cause the truth is sa ganyang edad sa academics palang umiikot mundo and problema nila so do not stop them from expressing what they feel. dumaan din kayo jan, admit it or not.

Trust me..this is actually good. This way students who actually deserve to be recognized as an “honor student” will finally feel the distinction of being one, not like today na halos lahat honor na but it does not reflect the kind of “honor student” they SHOULD be. This was the way how things were back when I was still in Highschool. Student honors would only range from 1-5 in a class so the distinction was considered elite as you really have to work extra hard to be one.

WDYM you’re spending sleepless nights studying and putting in so much effort, only for deped to just choose not to give you the awards you deserve? pls college na kayo pero pangiinvalidate sa nakababata pa sa inyo yung inaatupag niyo

Hii, school is not built to compete, to find the best, but rather to help you hone yourselves, understand the world, and develop skills that’ll help you survive. Kaya maraming against sa school kasi iba-iba ang way of learning, but its goal lang naman is to help every student to gain the skills and knowledge that’ll help them survive

To the people who's talking about, grades doesn't define you, do you know the situation of the people who's trying to be an achiever, just for their parents to notice them, there is many more reason so don't act like you know everything, maybe you can try to comfort them but you can't change the fact that dun nalang sila magaling mawawala paaa..

I guess she needs time to accept the harsh reality of the world. Go rant. That's fine. But, I hope you reflect and realize that giving your best should be enough since it's the only way towards achieving your full potential at a young age. It's not about you vs them. It's about you vs yourself yesterday. Work hard not for external achievements. Work hard because you can become more than who you are right now. ❤️

super misinformation yung mga sinasabi ng tao na rito na grades wouldn't matter. IT MATTERS, lalo na sa mga scholarship, entrance exam sa college. ‘wag n'yong sinasabihan ang mga younger pips na “college will humble u chuchu” let them vent out their disappointment and everything.

Napaka-insensitive ng mga comments dito. We get it, school is for learning not awards. Just because we want to keep the awarding system doesn't mean we are being selfish or greedy for the people who can't achieve it too. Pero bata pako, and the only thing I'm getting praised for is my academic achievements, ang mental health ko nakasalalay jan. Stop generalizing kasi hindi lahat ng tao pare-parehas ng nararamdaman at nae-experience. This is the only thing I'm good at, praised for, happy for and you'll just remove that? How INSENSITIVE can you be? It's not just for validation too, jan din kasi kami humuhugot ng motivation. To improve, to be the better version of ourselves! To learn and thrive, removing the awarding system is like expecting students to work hard without a reward or a result, a physical and reachable goal. It's like asking students to run a race without a medal or a trophy after all that sweat. You are ASKING students to run off a fuel of a dead man's lungs. Not only that, those certificates serves as memories too of how diligent and hard working a student can be. Parang sinabi niyo na, na kasing parehas namin yung mga taong hindi naman talaga nag-aaral ng mabuti. Maybe instead of removing the norm, change the way education is progressing in schools, actually care for the students who aren't able to instead of bringing the students who are already at the top down.

It's sad lang na the very same students that pride themselves of being an "achiever" are the very people who can't understand and comprehend the new awarding system and can't look at the bigger picture

college is humbling that’s why elementary and high school exists. it’s the feather of air phase in life, kaya valid crashout ‘to para sa kanila. you can’t expect an adolescent who only knew how rewarding those certificates and awards to know how college will make you spiral. THEY ARE NOT THERE YET. and that’s the greatest thing about it, na wala pa sila do’n. let a child be one, let a child experience. smh.
