I hate that it’s either shitty paracetamol that doesn’t work, or something so strong it’s sickening with a risk of addiction so they make it difficult to settle pain

I had my ovaries surgically separated from each other and my bowl all stuck together , cyst removed and lots of Endo removed from various areas with 4 incisions for stage 4 Endo…. Given paracetamol 🙄

I had the opportunity to witness a laparoscopy this year where they discovered endometriosis and wow I really feel for you and anybody else fighting this! The after pains must be so bad too, especially after seeing what they have to do in the surgery itself! I wish you a speedy recovery and kind nurses!!!!! xx

this was me. I sat there and cried when all they gave me was paracetamol after having ketamine and fentanyl when I woke up, down to hours later only being offered paracetamol. The nurse then came in and said the Dr wants to know if your pregnant before he can prescribe anything more.. this was AFTER major excision surgery so clearly didn't read the notes or even know why I was admitted

Please implement Martha’s rule if you see deterioration in your condition and don’t feel you’re receiving the care you deserve. There should be a poster in your room somewhere with the number on it. If it’s not, ask a nurse or member of staff on the ward and they have to give you it. It’s a separate team who will assess you, support you and advocate for you to get you the help you need. Please speak up lovely and if you’re too weak, get a next of kin to implement this for you as you shouldn’t have to suffer in pain after major surgery❤️

Girl I know the feeling. Peppermint tea. Drink as many cups as you can throughout the day. It helps a lot along with any other pain relief. Wish you a speedy recovery x
