Here’s the deal: any change in your skin color (tan or burn) is indicative of sun damage. However, some of us tan super easily and even an spf 50 isn’t going to stop it. The only way to be 100% sure you’re not incurring any sun damage is to avoid high UV hours and always look for shade. BUT the more realistic approach I use is this ☀️ •always wear SPF 50 or higher and reapply every 2 hours •do not use retinoids or chemical exfoliants (face or body) in the morning if you plan on being in the sun all day •use a hat to protect your face and sunglasses to prevent squinting, which can cause premature wrinkles I like being tan and this is a happy compromise for me!! I’m not going to hide from the sun or expect my clients to (unless they’re post chemical peel.) Stay protected and soak up the end of summer 😎☀️ #esthetician #tanning #spf #reapplysunscreen #buffaloesthetician
