I'll be there next month with a tour group. However, I'll be on my own for 2 weeks after they leave. I'm thinking physical SIM would be best for booking local travel on Didi and food delivery. I have WeChat, plus a VPN if needed. What's your take?

Don’t you have to download WeChat and Alipay before traveling so they can verify the information. And if that is that case then getting a physical sim is not possible
