I also held my baby that way. I watched my mon do this with all 4 of my sister boys. so I did it. I never had a fussy newborn or baby. I got really lucky. my mother in-law and my husband grandmother got on to me about they way I held her. I asked them, do hear her crying? they said no, I said okay that is now conversation over.
