okay I looked it up! they all survived. poor teen was in ICU and had brain swelling and 8 broken ribs all nerve damage on his right side. he was unconscious etc. cop was in icu for a week. he also needed surgery as well! teens dad is suing the truck driver who fell asleep on his job

just fyi: It took Yukon firefighters 24 minutes after the crash to free Mason Treat (the pulled over driver) from the wreckage and carry him to an ambulance, because every other officer that arrived on scene checked in with the officer first and said they "didn't care" about the drivers

Was it a private purchase? Because dealers print out temp tags for you that are good for a month. If it’s a private purchase you are supposed to basically do it in a DMV parking lot so you can get temp tags directly from them

This is actually why Oklahoma Paper Tags are now only valid for 10 days and they send you an actual temp metal plate so officers don’t pull people over for this. This accident is why we have the Mason Treat Act.

OK to be fair they were definitely pulled over far enough. The cop has flashing lights. Why is the truck with a trailer on the back going so fast and not moving over because it looks like the other lane may have been clear. This is why they have move over laws.
