By the end of the payment cycle there will be newer Apple products and reselling would make you at a loss

It’s like leasing a car. Enjoy and enjoy nothing after you are done

They eat up all the “trade in value” it’s cheaper to buy it outright then trade it in later

You’re stuck in their ecosystem if you lease because if you ever want out of the loop of Apple products, you’ll have to purchase the product at the end, plus all the leasing associated costs that came before that

I used to do this program pre Covid but they didn’t treat you right in store during launch day of the new phones

They have a financing option and a leasing option. The financing option itself pretty good you pay it off after 2 years, I have the 16 pro max I am upgrading to the 18 pro max leasing with trade in, it’s going to cost me 25 a month for 2 years

After 3 years your trade in value will be bottom tier. Finance it through apple. Make higher payments. Pay it off faster and if need be then trade it in for a little low more value than waiting the 3 years.

Def not an insane deal. Apple is getting like 70% of what the phone costs, and you trade it back in. You’ll forever have a payment. They’ll go throw it up on the refurbished store and make another 70% all while you think you got a great deal. I think a better idea if you wanna talk about a deal, I’d pay the low payments you get with it and buy it out at the end and trade it back in. Drops your next deal by a lot. And trade-in is most likely going to be worth more than the buyout at the end, so it’s not a heavy hit.

Like what are y'all doing with an obsolete phone after 3 years? It's not gonna increase in value, and you need a new phone anyway so idk why people fight phone leasing when you're gonna trade it in for a new one 😂

The math don’t math for the iPhone, cheaper buying out right and trading in the previous years model. Can even do Apple Card 24 months.

They made it way over complicated. I’ve had iPhones since the first one and I’m actually thinking of switching because of this change.

The ONLY way this seems to be any cheaper vs their previous iphone upgrade program looks to be the 12 month lease is like maybe $5 less and u have to trade the phone in and redo the cycle. Technically it isnt even really saving anything cause ur not getting apple care like u did with the iphone upgrade program. I always paid like $58 or so for 256 pro max and the new program it’s $54 with no apple care that now costs $150 a year at the cheapest. Flat out if u end up buying the phone with any of the leasing options ur not saving any money, ur just getting lower monthly payments during the lease and a larger payoff at the end compared to their iphone upgrade program.
