I work at a bank, right? So this American couple walks in to exchange some money. I ask the guy for his passport, and he confidently hands me his US driver’s license. 😭 I tried explaining that we were literally outside the US, in a completely different country that they were traveling in, and that banks here require an international passport for this kind of transaction.But he was genuinely offended. He kept going, “But my driver’s license works in the US, so why wouldn’t it work here?” Sir… respectfully, the US is not the entire planet. 😭 Your driver’s license doesn’t magically become an international travel document just because you crossed a border. Imagine traveling to another country and being shocked that their rules aren’t the same as the ones back home. 💀
