The best thing i’ve ever made ⭐️ So crispy on the outside, but soft and rich on the inside! Recipe for 6: Dough: - 1/2 cup warm milk - 1 tsp sugar - 1 1/4 (1/2 packet) instant yeast - 1 1/2 cup bread flour - 2 tsp sugar - 1 tsp salt - 2 tsp oil Filling - 1 tbsp oil - 1 small onion finely diced - 1/2 cup finely diced carrot - 2 garlic cloves minced - 1/2lb ground beef - 1 tbsp soy sauce - 1/2 cup broth - 1 small box of japanese curry - curry powder, turmeric powder, salt, pepper to taste To air fry: - 1 whisked egg - 1 cup panko - oil to spray To make the dough, add warm milk, tsp of sugar, and yeast. Stir then let rest until foamy ~10 mins. Add in flour, sugar, and salt. Mix until a rough ball forms then knead by hand or in a stand mixer. Once combined, put back into bowl and knead in oil. Once no longer sticky, add oil to the bowl and let sit covered for about an hour. Make the filling while the dough is rising. To a pan, add oil, carrots, onion, and garlic. Sauté for ~3 mins. Add the beef and break it apart. Add seasonings. Once fully cooked, add soy sauce, broth, and curry cubes. Let sit, stirring occasionally until it’s thick. Add more broth if needed. Set aside to let cool. Once dough is proofed, split into 6 equal balls. Use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into an oval shape. Add ~3-4 tbsp of filling. Fold over sides of dough leaving the ends for last. Make sure to pinch the creases so they will not open when frying. Place each dough piece into the egg then the panko. Then place into a greased air fryer. Lightly spray the tops and air fry at 350 degrees for 5 mins, flip, lightly spray with oil on the new side, then air fry another 3 mins or until golden brown. Enjoy! #dinner #japanesefood #curry #mealideas #bread
