@aero.total: NEW DATA REVEALS AMAZON 767’S FINAL SECONDS New drone footage appears to follow the final ground path of the Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767 that overran the runway at Miami International Airport, as investigators release new details from the aircraft’s flight data recorder. According to the NTSB, the final 30 seconds of recorded data reveal an unusual touchdown sequence. The nose landing gear and right main landing gear touched down at 158 knots, while the left main landing gear did not touch down until 11 seconds later, at 134 knots. The brakes were initially applied and then released. Seconds later, the throttles were advanced to values consistent with go-around thrust, suggesting the crew considered getting airborne again after touchdown. Eleven seconds before the recording ended, the throttles were reduced to idle and the brakes were reapplied. The flight data recorder stopped with the aircraft still traveling at 65 knots. Investigators also said the recorded data showed no indication that the speed brakes or thrust reversers were deployed during the sequence. NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said investigators planned to interview both pilots before releasing details from the cockpit voice recorder. The investigation remains ongoing, and no probable cause has been determined. The captain, 55, had 7,145 hours of flight time and received his Boeing 767 type rating in May. The first officer, 37, had 2,655 hours and received his 767 type rating in April 2025. Both pilots survived. #AmazonPrimeAir #Boeing767 #Miami #Aviation #NTSB

Why do airports not have a sand trap at the end of each runway?

Imagine being Amazon and hiring foreign pilots who can’t pass a test and have a track record for not listening to ATC. Completely avoidable. Amazon killed 5 people.
