@deborahmeadenofficial: I spent a lot of my early working life in seaside businesses, so beaches have always been a big part of my life. Minehead was very much work for me, although there were donkeys, pony rides and a lido where you could splash around safely in the seawater, so it wasn’t all bad! But we really are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches in the UK. Kynance Cove in Cornwall is one of my favourites, the beaches in Northumberland are incredible, and Scotland has some of the whitest sand and most beautiful turquoise water I’ve ever seen. We really don’t have to travel very far to find somewhere beautiful. And as the weather gets hotter, people are going to be coming to us for their summer holidays - so aren’t we lucky!
