From someone who is recovering from 2 recent eye surgeries as a result of type 1 diabetes, please please please ensure you attend ophthalmology appointments and eye screenings for early detection. It’s such a tough condition to live with but you will find your rhythm 🫶🏾

Monitor your kidney function as well. Diabetes is a contributor to ckd and I think it’s not talked about enough. I have ckd from high blood pressure that I didn’t know I had. And they are both called silent killers as you might not have symptoms. Xxx
