Early Sobriety is like science fiction I always say. It’s a bit like living in outer space. But over time the drinking life becomes the science fiction. I think it is sad when we lose something we love regardless of the damage it may do. Over time I can tell you nearly 9 years sober that I would miss this life much more if I tried drinking again. To alter my mind now feels like not just a violation of who I am, but it’s not at all something I want. This is the life I was looking for when drinking. But I completely hear year.

I couldn’t do a sober holiday as I can’t get on a plane without being pissed up as I have a massive flying phobia

I promise you’ll have even cooler stories to tell! And the way you re tell them or think about them will be with more emotion because you genuinely feel the experiences more, it’s a deeper much deeper level of experience. Yes there is less compared to drunk fun encounter stories but it’s because sober ones are more special ✨ keep it up you’re doing so well🙏💕
