i honestly feel like it's doordash fault as well. charging us all those fees makes it harder to tip a more generous amount. a $13 meal turns $25 QUICK.

my husband doordashed for a while after unexpectedly losing his job. i’m a stay at home mom so we strictly lived off of doordashing for 2 months. most payouts were $2-3. it was so disheartening to get an order with $3 payout and pull up to a million dollar home. idk what this world has come to. greed and selfishness has taken over. i’m so sad.

I’m sorry but as someone that used to Doordash and work at Amazon just to make ends meet when I was a junior in HS….these jobs are completely voluntary. It’s nice to receive tips but I will not be threatening people, arguing with ppl, or forcing ppl to tip me.

As a doordasher, I get not having a lot of money, and doordash is selfish and takes so much, but also, we pay for our own gas to get there, and sometimes ive had to drive 30 minutes with no tip and only the base pay of 2 dollars

don't worry girl. if I see a 50 cent tip I just reject the order and let the food wait for the next dasher. if I'm the only dasher every 10mins your order will pop back up with a higher base pay until someone accepts it. so really tipping low just hurts you

Yeah it’s rough I haven’t door dashed in a few weeks. I’m a new driver as well so I feel like each time I went out I was risking my life 💀💀 and getting 4 dollars for 9 miles was not cutting it 😭😭 not every order was like that but some of them were crazy low
