It was a magical Christmas! There’s something special about experiencing Christmas through the eyes of different cultures. Christmas isn’t a huge holiday in Kazakhstan, so it was fun sharing an American Christmas with our girls. Everyone got royally spoiled. The girls gave us both funny and thoughtful gifts. We had fun springing a few surprises on each girl, like Issa’s celebrity crush, Aziza’s boots, and wearable blankets for both of them. Maddie got art supplies, as well as lots of new clothes that match her style. Easton got tons of art gifts, as well as many sarcastic shirts. Camden loves his new gaming headphones. To make the day even more memorable, it snowed last night. Aziza has been hoping for snow for weeks, so when Santa noticed it was snowing during gift delivery, he stopped his work and invited the girls to come see. They were both delighted by the snowfall. They danced in the snow and drew Christmas pictures in the street at 12:30 am. It was beautiful to experience that moment with them and I will treasure the memory.
