Trump didn’t claim to be lifted out of the rubble of the ground zero buildings. This is another fake news report from the left to try and get you to hate Trump. Look up what Trump said yourself. If you did you’d see he was talking about a completely different building. In which he in fact was lifted up by two fire fighters. So sick of the left coming up with a bunch of bullshit! The right doesn’t stoop to their level which makes it hard when you’re fighting the devil.

And what did he do during that memorial service? Standing back there with AOC j******, smiling laughing and making fun during the name calling of the people that died there people jumped down that he did that deliberately to be spiteful. I know I. We need to push for his citizenship to be rebok, because he wanted to put in God. How can I? How can a mayor put in government stores? And the United States of America and New York City, when we're not a g****** Communist country. And guess what he wants to show ID who you are when you go in there. Get rid of this sum a bit before it's too late. I think if you get enough signatures do like they do cheap. On the signature is to get rid of this son of a b****, but we're we have a conscious and we want everything to be fair, but we can't be fair with Muslim supporters. They've taken on, they're taking us for weakness. We got to start being bass m************, like we were back in the Civil War, fighting every f****** war to keep this country free. And then you have people come here through legal channels to get to be citizens. Then, they go on TikTok and TV say that they had to say that to get in, I think I think I think we any Muslim country should be banned. I think we should in any. Immigration in the United States for at least 50 years and get ready to arrested. The people don't buy any more Chinese products or anything like that. We're capable of doing our own s***

Donald Trump was near Ground Zero, but not on September 11, 2001. While online social media posts sometimes exaggerate or twist the claims, the true, documented record of his whereabouts and actions shows that his direct involvement was much smaller than he has publicly recalled. [1, 2, 3] ## The Real Story of His Location * On September 11, 2001: Trump spent the day at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan, roughly four miles away from the World Trade Center. That afternoon, he gave a live phone interview to New York television station WWOR, noting that he was watching the events unfold on television and looking out his window. [2, 4] * The Ground Zero Visit: Trump actually went downtown two days later, on September 13, 2001. Archival footage from news organizations like [PBS News](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/watch-what-trump-told-reporters-near-ground-zero-in-2001) and NBC shows him on-site in a suit and tie, speaking with reporters about the devastation and danger. A Newsday report from September 14 also noted him walking through the area with his cell phone to his ear. [2, 5, 6, 7, 8] ## Fact-Checking His Core Claims Over the years, Trump's recollections of his time near Ground Zero have expanded significantly, but official records contradict several key details: [3] | Trump's Claim | The Documented Reality | |---|---| | Firefighter Rescue: Two massive firefighters physically lifted him by the arms and ran with him away from the creaking One Liberty Plaza building. | No Evidence: While One Liberty Plaza (the U.S. Steel Building) did severely creak and spark collapse fears on the days following the attack, there are no emergency logs, police records, or first-responder testimonies confirming Trump had to be physically carried away. | | Hundreds of Construction Workers: He brought a crew of 100 to 225 of his own construction workers down to the rubble to help dig out victims. | Unsubstantiated: Fact-checkers at [PolitiFact](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/fact-checking-trumps-stories-about-his-own-9-11-response "Fact-checking Trump's stories about his own 9/11 response | | Watching from Midtown: He claimed he personally watched the second pla

Yes, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani officially honored the victims, first responders, and service members affected by the September 11 attacks. [1, 2] Mayor Zohran Mamdani (pronounced ZO-ran mahm-DAH-nee), who took office as NYC's first Muslim mayor in January 2026, participated heavily in tributes surrounding the 25th anniversary of 9/11. [3, 4] Official 9/11 Tributes by Mayor Mamdani Signed Executive Orders: He signed two official executive orders, which officially designated September 11 as an annual "Citywide Day of Remembrance and Service" in New York City and implemented a citywide moment of silence. Attended the Ground Zero Ceremony: He attended the official 25th-anniversary commemoration ceremony at Ground Zero alongside former presidents and family members of the victims, where he stayed to hear the reading of all the names. First Responder & Precinct Memorials: In the week leading up to the anniversary, he visited various NYPD precincts and FDNY firehouses. He also joined Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch to unveil a new memorial wall at One Police Plaza honoring officers who died on 9/11 and from subsequent 9/11-related illnesses. Public Address: He released a video address calling the anniversary a "sacred obligation" to honor those "who were stolen from us" and praised the resilience of the community. [7, 10] Context and Public Debate Mamdani's attendance at the Ground Zero ceremony sparked a major public debate. Some victims' families and high-profile Republican politicians—including former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Governor George Pataki—had publicly called on him to skip the main ceremony. They cited his progressive political background and a controversy where he handed a ceremonial signing pen to his chief counsel, who had previously served as a defense attorney for a Guantanamo Bay detainee. [5, 8, 11, 12] Despite the tension, Mamdani insisted that it was his responsibility as mayor to represent the city. When he arrived at Ground Zero, he and Rudy Giuliani shared a brief, polite handshake that captured widespread media attention, with both men agreeing to keep the ultimate focus of the day strictly on honorin
