@thenumbersgame1: 📊 HYROX has just been sold in a deal valuing the fitness competition at nearly $700M. Launched in Germany in 2017 by Christian Toetzke and Moritz Fürste, HYROX has grown into one of the world’s biggest mass-participation fitness competitions, attracting 1.4M+ athletes across 100+ events last season. Private equity firm L Catterton is leading the new ownership group after acquiring Infront’s majority stake. The deal also sees Toetzke and Fürste regain majority ownership alongside the new investors, with both founders continuing to stay heavily involved in the business. HYROX now operates across 30+ countries and expects participation to surpass 2M athletes next season, as it pushes further into Asia, the US and beyond.
