Been through 12 different therapists during my childhood. I completely agree with Ted.

He’s not wrong. I’m not knocking therapy as a whole but too often it’s nothing more than a paycheck for someone.

I don’t blame him imagine doing therapy to fix your relationship only for the doctor to end up with your wife crazy this man gave her space and fought just to find out it was a complete waste of time.

One of my therapists told me I had to set realistic goals and fired me as a client. In that session when she asked me what my goal was it was to “feel better” which I guess was unobtainable. I’ve had some good therapists and bad ones, but don’t give up anyone

my first therapy session he had me talk about stuff that I didn't know I had locked away, I tried to kill myself the next day, a buddy saved me and now I'm here still. Lost everything but I'm here

Yeah I’d rather die with some pride than to give you money and for nothing to work if not get worse bc the medications that are prescribed are at a high risk of side effects that news flash puts you in addiction and more of depression.
