1. Yes rome is rome, constantinopole is the second rome but it is not rome and even though it surpassed rome it doesnt mean rome itself stopped being rome. What even is the roman empire to you? do you think its just a title for a strong empire that mimics rome? The ROMAN empire was a powerful empire which was founded in rome, and rome stayed the heartland and centre of everything in the roman empire for a 1000 years, with a distinct roman culture and goverment. Just because you took over the goverment in the most part, took less than half of their territories and took over the new capital doesnt make you roman. Nobility joining a country that conquered their former country is something very common in the medieval world lol. The ottoman empire didnt fully inherit the byzantine adminstration, they did keep most of it but they also changed it alot, even if the core remained the same. The entire world didnt recognize ottomans as rome. And also the fact that the sultanate of rum was called rum just for conquering anatolia, the same word used to describe ottomans is funny.
