I feel like chasing is when someone makes it clear they’re not interested but you disregard that and continue trying. While courting is pursuing someone who gives you hints that they’re interested. Eg If you ask someone on a date and they cancel without rescheduling and you continue to try, that’s chasing but if the person is genuinely excited to go out with you or maybe can’t make it because of unforeseen circumstances but they tell you when they gonna be free/ move the date. I stand to be corrected tho🫤

before I give my opinion I want to know is courting reciprocal? I think courting is a two way street.like you both go on dates and see each other but you arent in a relationship because of circumstances or situations. so you end up courting someone.whereas chasing its you just wanting someone who is just not interested.

courtship is reciprocal, just two people showing each other that they have the capacity of being in a relationship and building something. chasing is just trying to force your capabilities of being a decent partner onto someone else , the latter is usually deceitful.
