98% of people in America have not read the Bible cover to cover. People read small passages and place they’re own unrelated meanings to them while simultaneously taking the book out of context to fit their narrative of what it means to be a “good Christian” - that book is written at an advanced reading level while most people in this country would not even be able to read To Kill A Mockingbird all the way through and give a coherent summary of what they read.

Im pretty sure this is the exact reason they've rewritten so many times especially with the new testaments to remove some of these crazy ass texts. im also assuming these are passages in the old testament
