"You know I love you. Whatever happens, I would always choose you, baby, okay?" ​"Oom, wait for me, please," Bam voice muffled against Oom's shoulder. ​Oom just nodded, wiping Bam's tears away with gentle thumbs. ​"Don't cry. You are stronger than this." ​Just that, Oom exited the room. ​Just as Bam got out an hour after, she walked down the sunlit courtyard near the main building only to freeze dead in her tracks. ​There stood Oom, standing by the fountain, now surrounded by a group of girls, just like before. She had her sunglasses resting casually on her head, charming, captivating aura fully returned. She was smiling smoothly, laughing softly at a joke one of the girls made, looking every bit like the irresistible, popular womanizer everyone used to adore. ​"Oom, can we get dinner later?" a pretty girl in the crowd asked, leaning in closer with an eager smile. ​Bam overheard it clearly from where she stood under the shaded hallway. The moment the words registered, Bam felt like a lightning strike had pierced right through her chest.
