@rust_ridge_ranch26: Bot flies have been busy! 🪰🐴 These tiny yellow specks stuck to my horses’ legs are bot fly eggs. If left alone, horses can lick them while grooming, allowing the larvae to enter their mouths and eventually make their way to the stomach. I’m carefully scraping them off with the dull edge of my pocket knife—keeping the blade flat and away from the skin. A bot knife or grooming stone works great, too.
