Diatomaceous earth. It’s like $8 a bottle at the hardware store. Also, if you find a line of ants going anywhere, they’re laying down an invisible scent trail for the others, so once you sweep them away, you need to clear the area they were walking with white vinegar water solution 50/50, to destroy the pheromone trail.

growing up in Texas we had red ants. we had a neighbor that would p e e in five gallon buckets and pour it on the mounds when it was full. Seemed to work.

Go to a store that sells barn and farm supplies and ask them for ant and spider control spray. They usually sell more commercial grade sprays.
