@mindsetpowershifts: 🧠⚡ Diet soda isn't the safe alternative most people think it is. Let's start with the stakes. One sugary drink a day is associated with around a 29% higher diabetes risk. Two a day pushes that to 58%. And diabetes now appears on roughly 40% of death certificates as a primary driver or contributing factor. So diet soda fixes that, right? Some studies suggest it's around half as damaging. Half as bad is not the same as good. Zero sugar and zero calories does not mean zero impact on your body. Here's what's actually happening: The sweet taste alone, even without real sugar, triggers what's called a cephalic phase response. Your tongue signals your brain. Your brain primes your pancreas. Insulin signalling activates. Cravings for more sweetness follow. And frequent insulin signalling drives cell growth including vascular smooth muscle, contributes to metabolic dysfunction, and has been linked to higher risks for heart disease and certain cancers. The label says zero. The biology disagrees. Better swaps: water, sparkling water, or mineral water with lemon or lime unsweetened tea or coffee if you're transitioning, taper sweetness down gradually each week to retrain your palate rather than going cold turkey The goal is simple. Lower the sweet load. Flatten insulin. Protect your metabolism. 🚨 Comment GUIDE and I'll send you the link to The Personalised Fasting Guide — every protocol from 12:12 to 72 hour extended fasts, with meal plans and a step by step plan built around your starting point. if you had a chance of 1% to develop diabetes, you now have 1,29%, not 29%

False!! I used a CGM for entire month and not once did diet soda even come close to. Increasing my blood sugar levels. It’s not how the body works! Your tongue or taste buds don’t trigger insulin smh 🤦♂️
