I remember this like it was yesterday! I traveled that bridge practically everyday. It was such a horrible accident! I saw the episode on the tv program called airplane disasters or Mayday.

Right before the crash, there was a fire on a metro train. emergency services were sent to cover the Metro fire. They weren’t able to get to the plane in time. Some people on the bridge jumped into the icy water to save people. I remember the details because my boyfriend at the time had a ticket on that plane. He decided not to go because the roads were too icy.

I was so worried my grandfather was on that bridge. He was stuck in the traffic and we had no way of knowing. What a sad day for all affected.
