And that man rushing in with his shoes... what a reminder. *The Ayat:* *بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا* _(16)_ *وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى* _(17)_ _Bal tu'thirūnal-hayātad-dunyā_ _Wal-ākhiratu khayrun wa abqā_ *_"But you prefer the worldly life, While the Hereafter is better and more lasting."__ _(Surah Al-A'la 87:16-17)_ *The message in this image:* The man is leaving everything to go to the mosque. Shoes in hand, heading to prayer. Allah is reminding us right above him: Don't let dunya distract you. Prayer, dhikr, the masjid - that's _khayrun wa abqā_ - better and more lasting. *3 lessons from these 2 ayahs:* 1. *Check your priorities* - _Tu'thirun_ = "you prefer". What do we prefer daily? Scrolling or sujood? Work or worship? 2. *Dunya is temporary* - Jobs, money, likes, plans... all of it ends. 3. *Akhirah is forever* - One prayer, one dhikr, one good deed = reward that never expires. That’s why the Prophet ﷺ would rush to prayer. Because he knew what was _baqi* - lasting. May Allah make us of those who prefer the Akhirah over the Dunya, and make our hearts attached to the masajid. Ameen 🤲
