@dr.amybkillen: Today I got to be the patient! 😀 I got umbilical stem cell injections into my wrist for tendonitis by my friend and colleague @harry.adelson . These cells come from donated birth tissue (from C-section deliveries). Stem cells act as signaling molecules to nearby tissues, increasing new blood vessel formation, reducing inflammation, and helping to signal repair over 3-6 months. I'll keep you posted on my wrist. I'm hoping to be as good as new in a few months! 💪
