I hate Trump with the red hot intensity of a thousand suns, but he didn’t say he was pulled out of the rubble. He was talking about the next day when he took a crew down there and was in a building that was on the verge of collapsing. Whether that’s true or not is still debatable.

Unfortunately, many editors in the mainstream media believe it’s their job to help advocate for Trump so liberal audiences understand why people support him rather than cover him the way every other politician is covered. So they constantly downplay Trump’s extremism and scandals. Others might just argue that they like Trump and want to help him rule us like a king.

I too question all the time how things are not reaching the point of “scandal” anymore. But when I really follow the logic, it’s because no one is being scandalized anymore. His followers believe his words as truth. And those who know he is lying may express moral outrage to each other (but how outraged are we really when all we do is have our quiet conversations about it?), but no one is scandalized. When you expect it and when it is of no consequence, you can’t be scandalized. Dare I say, we are living in a post-scandal world. Someone hand me a cigar, I have a place to put it.
