@elon.tylsbackup: BREAKING: SpaceX's Nasdaq 100 weighting could hit 2.25% after the upcoming index rebalance, forcing $15.5 billion of net passive buying from index funds and ETFs, according to estimates by JPMorgan Securities strategists led by Min Moon. The index’s next rebalance is set to be announced Friday after the bell and take effect on Sept. 21. SpaceX currently has a 1.25% weighting in the Nasdaq-100, making it the index’s 19th-largest component, despite having the sixth-largest market cap at more than $2 trillion. As more SpaceX shares are unlocked over the next year, the company's free float will continue to rise, meaning its Nasdaq 100 weighting could potentially increase even more. ⬇️ Subscribe for more details and exclusive market insights.
