I have a question. Standard RV financing is 10 years. Is there a correlation between RV park standards and RV financing? Are parks part of a plans to ensure RV owners continue to purchase RVs?

I live in my 5th wheel, it’s 20 years old, and I’m in an rv park/resort whatever- gotta ask a question, you think the rv parks get kickbacks from the rv dealerships when a park says i need to upgrade my camper to meet their aesthetic/age requirements?

I LIVE FULL TIME IN A CAMPER AND TRAVEL. there’s a difference. Yes there are nice rv parks not all of them are the same but in my experience Rv parks are usually trashy rv resorts usually have nice kept up with grounds and better amenities. I just came from a rv park that I paid $500 a month and there was no bath house no playground nothing it was a parking lot. No grass no trees nothing around. Our time there with a four year old was miserable. We just moved to an rv resort. We have a bath house we have a pool we have a laundry mat a gym. I am at home with my 4 year old all day. We were stuck inside the camper all day with nothing to do. We were miserable. We were also over an hour away from my husbands job moving to the resort got us close to the jobsite so the extra money we’re paying to be at the resort actually saves us money each month because we don’t have to pay to do our laundry me and my child have things to do during the day we are saving hundreds of dollars in diesel each month. We’re also close to all the grocery stores where before we had to drive 45 mins to get to one. It may not work for your family but it sure works for mine. Everyone is different. But I also have a brand new camper not a 10 year old camper so I guess it doesn’t matter as much to me.

That’s why I stay at State and County RV parks whenever I can they don’t discriminate like that. Even though I have a 4 year old trailer.

I own a large rv park and have that rule as well but make exceptions if it’s clean and well maintained, I don’t want my park looking like a crime scene

I just bought an 87 Gulfstream and I’m worried about this. I’m renovating it so it’s going to be nice but it is old. It’s so classist and ridiculous.

Damn.... thousand dollars a month? Where are you? I pay $550 and have an ocean view, water, electric and wifi are included. We also have free washer/dryers. That said, we have a new 5th wheel, but i get the older camper thing, especially if its not taken care of! We had 1 with windows units, cirds plugged in everywhere... it looked horrible and eventually caught fire.

We have a seasonal site at a campground that has a 20 year rule. If your camper is older and looks good they let you in no problem. Their trying to keep out the ones you can smell from the road.

RV resort I live in has the same rule. However if your RV is well maintained they make exceptions.Also this resort is owned by the lot owners and they put their lots into a rental program. It's a private resort not a KOA. Hope this helps to answer why.

my husband's park hes at for his job is owned by a lil old lady. it's a mix of campers and permanent foundation campers, daily and monthly payees. the lot rent is only 600mth. they have 2 laundry/shower houses and a small nice clean pool. & an amazon pick up area, they grade the gravel rds daily in the early a.m. and lawn up keep. they also will move your camper to different spots if you want for a small fee. they don't have a camper maintenance person tho. you have to call someone out for all that.

I disagree with your comparison. Resorts normally have bars, drink delivery to your lot, your own fire pit, gazebo/ hot tubs, outdoor kitchens, lazy rivers, water parks, golf simulators, restaurants, adult pools, live music, night life areas, etc. …way different atmosphere.
