not crazy profit? its expected to be 225k-300k guarantee thats still over 100-150k straight profit in the end for each car... not including maintenance cost to keep warranty

You should look into the financials of the Honda NSX, similar story. I think they estimated a loss of $800-million over the life of the model, but considered it as "advertising" and it balanced out just fine, lol.
