@ttv.saxie: hi, I was debating on posting this but i have a feeling that this isn’t her first time treating someone like this, and i wanted to share my experience. I would like to preface that i am a new dog owner and brought my dog to the baseball field because i wanted to get his energy out and give him some exercise. I am still learning and my dog is afraid of other dogs, especially much larger dogs because he is only 5 pounds. She mentions that she was following me outside of the field, but i was intentionally staying away because her dog is huge and mine was uncomfortable. I was not trying to approach her, her dog, or create an issue. I had headphones in, so if she was trying to speak to me, i couldn’t hear her. She never tried to come inside to speak to me or get my attention directly. The video is my first interaction with her. If she was waiting at the door and approached me calmly and said, “can you move your dog?” or explained what the concern was, i would have left. I had no problem leaving. I am open to being corrected and learning. I am a new dog owner and i understand that i still have things to learn, but there is a way to go about it. Instead, her initial response was telling me that if she could keep me locked in there, she would. Like at that point, is it really about the baseball field?? She refused to let me out until i mentioned that she was being recorded. I’m sharing this because i don’t think anyone should be made to feel threatened or trapped when a simple conversation could have resolved the situation. You have no right to keep anyone against their will from leaving the only exit. I feel targeted and disgusted.
