My mom is in a wheelchair too! From a spinal cord injury at 15 years old. My dad often gets treated like he’s a saint who took on a charity case, or like he’s a creep who took advantage of a vulnerable girl. I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to see it as a normal, healthy and happy marriage. I love seeing other couples like my parents so much! They’ll be celebrating 35 years married this December.

My Grandad was disabled. Everyone told my Granny not to marry him. She didn't listen. He somehow got down the aisle on sticks. She didn't know he was tall until then. 54 years of true love, 3 kids, grandkids... and his disability not affecting their happiness one tiny bit 🥹
