Did he cry cry?? Or did he just like well up with tears? A year isn’t that far out. My mom died a year ago and I have a hard time speaking about her to strangers without getting emotional. So that’s a miss for her. You want a man who loves his family & feels secure.

im with her. not on a first date, be respectful and pass on subject that are heavy for you. i dont know you, we just met, i dont want to have to comfort you. that would make me uncomfortable. a woman not wanting to comfort a stranger or deal with his emotions isn't punishing them. women are expected to do so much emotional labor, she's not taking anything away from him or inflicting a punishment, she's just not acting in a way u expect a woman to. if she wanted a man who never cried that'd be different, that'd be toxic. but this is a FIRST DATE.
