@noemitiongsonteves: JAPAN SHATTERS 136-YEAR RAINFALL RECORD AS FLOOD EMERGENCY UNFOLDS An incredible amount of rain just came down over Nagoya, Japan. More than 4 inches fell in just ONE HOUR, shattering the city’s all-time hourly rainfall record dating all the way back to 1890. Water quickly overwhelmed streets, flooded homes and stranded vehicles as transportation across parts of the city came to a standstill. The situation became serious enough for Japan’s highest Level 5 flood emergency to be issued along the Shonai River, with people in threatened areas urged to get somewhere safe immediately. 136 years of weather records and Nagoya just experienced something it had never recorded before. 👇 Anyone around Nagoya seeing how bad the flooding became? #Flooding
