I got hired on with an amazing wfh insurance company at 30ish weeks. They were so nice and supportive about it. They hired me and I got my short term disability for two months after birth. My first day back I cried to my boss that I couldn’t do it with a new baby. He told me “I completely understand. We’ve enjoyed having you, and whenever you’re ready to go back to work call me.” 🥹 It was the most supportive place I’ve ever been. They sent me flowers after the baby arrived.

Step 1, lock this video down before you lose your job. 😭😭 Step 2, do some research online and carefully read about the policy for pregnancy and disability accommodations at your job. Step 3, work with your doctor to draft a plan (for you) and a letter (for your job) outlining needs and expectations that align with your pregnancy, their policies, and any relevant FMLA or EEOC guidelines. But seriously, this video needs to disappear.

this happened to me when i was pregnant with my son and when i went into labor i just told them i was at the hospital giving birthday lmao i went back to work a couple days after i got back home😅

girl you take the job do the training do your best and get those benefits!! you have rights as a pregnant worker or having just gave birth. I will say, I got fired 6m postpartum so if you want to keep the job be on your best behavior around that time. that's when the legal liability of letting you go falls off of them!

Try asking around to sub contractors that do cable work. I work from home for a cable contractor. I make my own hours, my son is with me 24/7. See if you can offer administrative work for them. Placing in underground dig tickets, handling sheets. Making sure the contractors have valid work. I didn’t know anything when I started in October.
