🍕 Homemade Cheese Pizza Recipe Ingredients For the Pizza Dough • 2 cups all-purpose flour (250g) • 1 teaspoon instant yeast (3g) • 1 tablespoon sugar (12g) • ½ teaspoon salt (3g) • ¾ cup warm water (180ml) • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil (30ml) For the Topping • ½ cup pizza sauce or blended tomato sauce (120g) • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese (200g) • ½ teaspoon dried oregano • ½ teaspoon dried mixed herbs • A pinch of black pepper Instructions In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Add the warm water and oil, then mix until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover and leave in a warm place until doubled in size. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a round pizza shape. Place the dough on a greased baking tray or pizza pan. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce. Sprinkle oregano, mixed herbs and black pepper on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until the cheese is melted, bubbly and lightly golden.
