If something like this can happen in one of the world’s most civilized, technologically advanced, and powerful countries, then perhaps humanity needs to pause and realize who truly controls this world. We may believe that technology, wealth, power, and human intelligence have given us control over our destiny—but they have not. Mother Nature can bring down everything we build in a matter of moments when Allah wills it. No technology can overpower His command, no wealth can buy protection from His decree, and no human power can stand above His will. Perhaps this is the lesson humanity continues to ignore: the more injustice, corruption, hatred, greed, and oppression we spread across this world, the closer we move toward a day when every action will be brought to account. Allah gives us time, but time is not without an end. What we do with the power and freedom we have been given will ultimately determine what we are held accountable for. Humanity should not mistake Allah’s patience for weakness. The world may appear to be in our hands, but ultimately, it is in the hands of its Creator. May we learn to choose justice over oppression, compassion over hatred, humility over arrogance, and righteousness over corruption—before we are forced to face the consequences of our own actions. Nothing in this world is truly under our control. Everything belongs to Allah, and to Him we will all return.
