@taniakhazaal: At some point, you have to stop blaming your parents for everything wrong in your life. Yes, your childhood shaped you. Your parents got things wrong, made mistakes. But they were human too. Healing isn’t spending the rest of your life finding new reasons they’re responsible for who you are today. There comes a point where your life becomes your responsibility. #parents #MomsofTikTok #parentsoftiktok #mindsetmotivation #momlife

What Ends With Me :
This is the kind of post that tells defensive parents exactly what they want to hear. The adult child is “rewriting,” “looking for evidence,” “blaming,” and “stuck,” while whatever the parent actually did gets softened into “human mistakes.” You have no idea what happened in those homes, so you cannot possibly know that. A serious estrangement expert would separate ordinary parenting mistakes from repeated harm, blame from accountability, rumination from understanding, apology from repair, and impulsive cutoff from years of failed attempts to fix a relationship. They would challenge adult children when they are wrong and parents when they are wrong. Instead, this gives already-defensive parents a new vocabulary for dismissing their child: “You’re rewriting your childhood. You’re looking for trauma. You need to move on.” Then that parent takes those words back into an already damaged relationship, dismisses their child one more time, and wonders why the distance gets greater. You’re not helping families repair when you teach one side how to explain away what the other side has been trying to tell them.

someone actually finds the courage to to walk away from the real abuse they endured for yearssssss at the hands of the person(s) who should have been nurturing them at their most vulnerable and you condense that abuse into "human mistakes". Give me a break!!
