@themoonfallentoearth: It's so sad that so many people still don't understand that war is a bad thing. It's so sad that so many people still don't understand that Sinhalese people are also humans. Nobody wants to go to war and die. It's so sad that so many people still don't understand that there is no "identity" when so many innocent people died for it on both sides. Speak up about the past and teach your children what happened but not only from one side of view! Teach them war is not good instead of giving them an " identity" which makes them feel that those people died for a good reason which they didn't. I am sorry for all the people who lost their lives and the lives of their family's during war. They didn't die so that you guys can talk proudly about them most of those people doesn't wanted the war. Most of these people had dreams which where taken away because of political problems. Because humans weren't able to speak with each other. We are in 2026 if someone still support people holding guns in their hand it's kind of sad. I am not to very good at politics or history. Nobody has right to comment on someone s personal opinion about Politics. But when it comes to tamil, its culture, its history etc we must not forget what happened to our tamil people in the past. how they been treated, how many innocents had to give up life. that is history for all generations including future as every tamil must learn what tamils had gone through. so my opinion is , please do not forget where you come from, why you are here in abroad, how u or ur family came all the way from eelam. if there was no war, if there was no such history we all would be living in eelam. thalaivar and our sisters and brothers died to provide us a better life with better opportunities. because till now tamils being treated unfairly. most of us are just selfish,forget the past and not being grateful . we must be thank ful every day, every year and teach our children so that they will teach this to their children because history is very important in life. in schools also there is a subject called history where we learn all sort of topics in the past. so why should we forget our war or our past. this is entirely my opinion, not asking anyone to accept this but pls educate yourself before posting something on social media. thank you
