I'd be curious to know younger generations' take on this. While cards and digital payments can feel bottomless, even the most basic banking apps now let you track your spending and spot patterns indefinitely. Going through your finances at the end of the month can still bring back the pain of those payments, in my opinion. I'm actually more mindful when paying by card, knowing that questionable line item will eventually pop up again when I review my spending.
