Completely agree it should be the same for everyone. Myself would likely be classed to be entitled to second tier payment but I dont agree that others shouldn't. All children should receive the same.

I'm so fed up. I'm at home with my 2 kids and studying to return to the workforce (hopefully in the next 18-24 months). my husband makes too much for us to get a lot of things but we have a mortgage car payments the price of oil and petrol and food 😭 my dad will give me a few euro every once and a while to help but we are struggling here too.

Prob won’t qualify.. same as always… despite the fact it would actually be a real help to our family this Xmas… but the thresholds are so low we never qualify as a working family…

The child benefit should just go up no matter weather your a working a carer single parent etc bills shopping everything is so expensive they think by promising all these payments they think there brilliant it all fine on the day but what about the long term effects.. they need to think long term for every group of Irish people!

280 should be minimum of child benift per child that might actually get stocked up on all baby essentials and fo4 the likes of an older child might actually get a decent winter coat and runners

I agree I don't think it should be a tiered system & id rather it went up monthly rather than double near Christmas,oh it's very helpful around Christmas but the extra each month would be much more beneficial
